A Collection of Articles About Becoming a Graphic Designer
For an overview of becoming a graphic designer, have a look further down the page for the collection of articles I have selected for this post, but first, a few brief points to consider.
For me, graphic design is something I enjoy doing. You have so many design variables that a lot of your work will be original no matter what you come up with.
There are a lot of programs out there for graphic design, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are two very strong programs. I’m more of a Photoshop guy.
When you have the freedom to create designs as you please, graphic design can be fun. When you work with clients, you create your designs according to what they want. That can be challenging.
Many times the customer doesn’t know what they want. You could work for hours on a design or draft and they don’t end up liking. They want something else but they don’t know exactly what they want.
Sometimes they’ll want a tacky or dated design that can make you cringe, but that’s part of being a graphic designer. You have to make designs according to what your customers want.
