As an urban planner, your main function is to look for improvements and community needs. You’ll be doing a lot of research and create plans. You’ll also work towards getting these plans approved.
Many times you may work for months on a project only to have it declined by the city council or the public.
Some Duties You’ll Attend To Are:
- Meeting with public officials, developers and even attend public meetings for planning and feedback for palms and future development.
- You’ll need be doing research and gathering data regarding the census, the market and economic, environmental, and feasibility studies.
- You must perform field investigation to get an Inside view of the real issues you need to into look into.
- You must plan for community needs
- You must review plans developers create and make recommendations.
