Normal hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, to reach a higher number of people, you may want to stay open past normal working hours. In addition to meeting the needs of your clients, you may need the additional time to handle, “end of the day,” tasks such as cleanup and bookkeeping.

Pros:

Many people are in need of advertising for their business’s products and services. One of the easiest ways to do this is by creating mobile advertising that can be seen by many local people as the customer drives around town.

Vinyl decals are a way for business owners to reach a large number of local customers without continually spending a large amount of money.

Cons:

The major drawback is that the printing equipment can be quite expensive, so in order to get started, you will need to be able to invest in this particular item.

Another problem is that once a person has purchased a vinyl decal for their vehicle they will not need another for a long time, so unless the client has numerous vehicles you won’t get much repeat business.

Getting Started:

In order to get started, you will need a large graphics printer, vinyl stickers, and a computer. You may also want to order the vinyl film known as “vehicle wrap.” This is a self-adhesive film designed to mold itself to the contours of a vehicle.

You’ll also need to make get the proper license’s and permits required for your business to be legal

Associations:

The Professional Graphics and Wrap Installers Association offer certification for those companies that have shown proficiency through testing as Master Certified Installers. See http://www.pdaa.com
