A Collection of Articles About Jobs That May Around in the Future
Technology is changing the world. The demand for specific jobs is dying because of advances in technology that make the most mundane tasks more profitable by implementing technology.
In many jobs that require manual, repetitive tasks, robots are replacing people, and that is nothing new. Automobile factories have automated many areas of the assembly line, including welding, painting, and assembly. Robots work nonstop at a set pace, never get tired, never need a day off, and never complain about the job. The only time they are off is during a breakdown or scheduled maintenance.
In addition to robots and automation that would eliminate mundane repetitive jobs, a new wave of jobs that require thinking and analytic skills that could only be provided by people are coming into play. With artificial intelligence getting stronger by the day, the fields of available careers for the future diminishes.
Here’s a simple example:
We can ask our phone any question and receive an answer within seconds. Although this technology is relatively new to the general public, and it’s not 100% accurate, it’s impressive and useful and will continue to evolve. So with that in mind, why couldn’t a child have a lesson plan online and eliminate the need to go to school? When the child has a question, all that’s needed is to ask, which would reduce teaching careers.
The career world is changing, and if you’re looking to build a long-term career, you don’t want to get into a field that could be eliminated in twenty years. Will it happen for sure? It may or may not; there could be a shift in the career, but you want to invest in a job that you know will be around for a long time.
That being said, I’m an advocate for getting into a line of work you have a passion for. If you’re not passionate about your career, then you’ll find it hard to excel and shine. Working in a field you’re passionate about will allow you to succeed and enjoy your work.
